Guavas in Kenya are steadily gaining popularity with major consumption still at household level. However, growing the grafted guava tree seedlings  takes only two years compared to four years with ungrafted ones. With a mature guava tree yielding between 200 to 300 fruits in a season,a farmer with 20 trees  could earn up to Sh20,000, as a medium-sized piece goes for Sh10.This makes it possible for one to fully venture in guava farming as a  side source of income.
