FarmBiz TV:Kalro creates fast-maturing, drought-tolerant cassava, doubling arid yields

The Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organisation has launched a new drought tolerant cassava, maturing in 10 months unlike most varieties for dry regions like Karibuni, Shibe and Karembo which take up to 18 months to mature.Farmers can now plant twice and double their yields with the new cassava. A full sack of the cuttings is sold at Sh500.
