Limuru vegetable farmer Muhia Samuel increased his vegetable yield and profits five fold after he abandoned soil for his propagation and used coco peat made from coconut husks instead, in plastic trays. He used to make almost nothing from his one eighth acre farm but after shifting to coco peat for seed propagation, he is now making over Sh 40,000 ia month.
