A fresh produce exhibition that had been planned for April in Nairobi has been put off by a year owing to overwhelming interest by exhibitors.
The inaugural Fresh Produce Africa (FPA) trade expo for the international vegetable and fruit industries will now take place from Wednesday April 26 to Friday April 28 in 2017 at the Oshwal Center in Parklands, Nairobi.
“It was concluded that although the interest on the exhibiting side was much higher than initially expected, more preparation time would be needed to attract and secure a good number of international buyers to attend,” said a communique from HPP exhibitions, a company that specializes in planning horticultural, flouricultural and constructional conferences and shows.
Endorsement
Kenya has been the recipient of bonus points from various international conferences that have taken place on its soil this year, among them the Global Entrepreneurship Summit attended by US President Barrack Obama and the World Trade Organisation Ministerial Conference.
The FPA expo, would boost the efforts of Kenyan horticultural farmers in selling their products on international markets.
