Project Management and Coordination
- Ensure projects move smoothly through the project cycle, including compliance with WBG internal systems, AS project governance, reporting systems (iPortal, IBIS) and Legal documentation, and compliance with all procurement processes and financial reporting.

Position summary: The Rainforest Alliance leads a global Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) project focusing on the coffee sector with one of our long-term strategic private sector partners. Position: ILRI consultancy: essential veterinary medicines and vaccine list

Education and work experience:
The selected Consultant should possess.
- PhD in Veterinary Pharmacology/Medicine
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in veterinary medicines/pharmacology/medicine
- Extensive knowledge of and previous participation in the development of veterinary medicine formularies at the local/national level is desirable
- Experience in developing regulatory documents relating to veterinary medicines or animal health
- Demonstrated knowledge of the veterinary medicine regulatory environment and legislation/policies/guidelines and strategies in Kenya
- Kenyan nationality or residency with a valid work permit (if applicable)
Duties and responsibilities:
The consultant will be expected to carry out the following tasks:
- Identify and collect all relevant documents/reports relevant to support the development of the National Veterinary Essential Medicines List.
- Collate data on the causes of morbidity and mortality in Kenya for the animal species relevant to the list and identify veterinary medicines indicated for these causes.
- Develop an initial draft of the National Veterinary Essential Medicines List.
- Engage all relevant sectors during the review and updating of the list, including leading and conducting a series of workshops and discussions with relevant stakeholders to review the draft.
- Based on the feedback collected from the different stakeholders involved, use the summary to update the draft list.
- Participate in a pre-validation technical review meeting and validation meeting with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare the final version of the National Veterinary Essential Medicines List and submit it for approval to the Veterinary Medicines Directorate.
