Silas Ruto,a potato farmer in Narok is now making Sh100,000 profits in 3 months from growing potatoes.Silas used to earn Sh60,000 a season from growing maize.However,in 2014 he switched to potatoes after realising strength in its prices and short maturity period.From an acre he harvests an average of 8000kgs that retail at Sh20 per kilo to earn Sh160,000.
